I was engaged to deliver a software solution to an internal architecture problem. How does a Tier One bank like CBA gain a full understanding of their internal services and platforms, and how do they know how each service interacts or shares dependencies with others?

An architectural challenge
Gaining a clear understanding of a bank's internal system architecture is a difficult and challenging task.
Which apps and services share dependencies, APIs and data sources is opaque, and when deciding to retire or upgrade a system it becomes almost impossible to make an informed decision.
I was engaged with Lab49 to design a platform that would provide the oversight necessary to accomplish this.
This was a short 6-week engagement that was well received by the client, leading to follow up work.
